Bug Bites

Insect bites on horses commonly trigger localized swelling, hives, and insect bite hypersensitivity (sweet itch), primarily driven by biting midges, stable flies, and mosquitoes. Managing these reactions requires soothing the skin, blocking future access, and modifying the environment.
